Tour Overview
Kheer Ganga (2950 meters) lies at the extreme end of Parvati valley and is the last inhabited village while trekking to pin valley via Pin-Parvati pass. Kheerganga’s panoramic skies and vast greenery are a much-needed delight to the trekker’s eyes and especially the tired legs. It is a holy place with a hot water spring, a small temple of Lord Shiva, and a bathing tank. Camping at Kheerganga can be a wonderful and serene experience with spectacular views.
History of Kheerganga:
Lord Shiva (some say it was his son Kartik) came to Kheerganga and is said to have meditated for thousands of years. ‘Kheerganga or Kheer Ganga as the name suggests is Ganga River ( the Ganges River) as White as a Kheer (an Indian sweet dish made from milk and Rice).
Itinerary
- The group will assemble at the pickup point at 5 PM. We’ll meet the trip captains and a small tour briefing session would also be provided.
- Afterward, we’ll start our overnight journey towards Kasol which is a tiny hamlet in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh known for its pristine river streams and lush green forests.
Note: The pickup point will be Majnu Ka Tila.
- Upon arrival in Kasol, we will check in to our designated hotel where we’ll have lunch.
- Afterward, we’ll hike towards Chalal which is a quaint village that offers beautiful views of the entire Parvati Valley. After spending some peaceful hours surrounded by nature, we’ll head back.
- In the evening, we will visit the Local market, and indulge in Cafe Hopping to explore the array of cafes that Kasol has to offer.
- Dinner followed by an overnight stay in Kasol.Â
- After early morning breakfast, a briefing session by the trek leader sharing all the necessary details about the Kheerganga trek would be provided.
- Afterward, we’ll head out for Barshaini, which is the starting point for the trek. The trail to Kheerganga is adorned by coniferous forests with the Parvati river flowing alongside. The trek is popular for a picturesque view of the entire valley as well as the hot springs that await the trekker at the top.
- We’ll check into our campsites once we’ve reached the top and then enjoy one of the most beautiful views of our lives. The rest of the day is at leisure.
- Dinner followed by an overnight stay in camps.
- After early morning breakfast, we’ll check out of our campsite and descent back down to Barshaini.Â
- En route, we’d visit the holy Manikaran Gurudwara. Afterwards, we’ll head back to Kasol.
- We’ll board an overnight bus for our return journey to Delhi.
Note:Â The visit to Manikaran Gurudwara is subject to time.Â
- We’ll reach Delhi early in the morning. The group will dissemble and part ways with fond memories.
- Trip ends.

Absolutely! Many participants choose to embark on our treks solo, while others come with a friend or two. Participants often leave with new connections, turning their trek companions into an extended family. The shared experiences create lasting memories that are cherished forever.
To ensure a comfortable and safe trekking experience, please consider the following items to carry:
- Windproof jacket
- Warm and thick fleece or full-sleeve woolen sweater
- Thermal innerwear (upper and lower)
- Woolen cap, gloves, and socks (both woolen and regular)
- Scarf/muffler (optional)
- Comfortable trekking shoes
- Lightweight floaters/sandals/slippers
- Raincoat/poncho
- Small, lightweight towel
- Sturdy water bottle (avoid empty Bisleri bottles)
- Cap/hat and sunglasses
- Walking stick/trekking pole
- Lunch box, spoon, and tea mug
- Sunscreen lotion and lip balm
- Torch/flashlight (with extra batteries)
- Personal medications and toiletries
If you haven’t trekked before, no problem – you’re still welcome to join us! Just make sure to incorporate regular fitness activities into your daily routine. For those with a more sedentary lifestyle, it’s recommended to prepare physically so you can fully relish the mountain climb and the entire trekking experience.
Focus on building endurance and strength through regular walking, gradually progressing to jogging and running. Aim to run at least 2 km in 15 minutes or walk continuously for at least an hour without breaks.
